Construction of Central Energy Plant structure including basement comprising detailed excavations and earthworks, footings, shotcrete to piled walls, capping beam to contiguous piled walls, bases, retaining and one sided in-situ walls, suspended and topping slabs. Including stair cores and stair lift cores using jump-form methodology. Scope of work also included a service tunnel of 780mtrs in length, this tunnel provides the link for services between the New Children’s Hospital and Central Energy Plant. Construction commenced with the capping beam to the top of contiguous piles, followed by concrete base slabs, concrete walls to tunnel (combination of shotcrete and in-situ) and concluded with a suspended concrete slab forming the tunnel roof.
